Why Orange Park homeowners choose KLC
Orange Park has a wider spread of house ages than most of Clay County, and the remodel follows the age. The older homes near the river were built when nobody put a waterproof membrane behind shower tile, so a bathroom there usually starts with finding out what is actually behind the wall. The newer builds toward Blanding and Oakleaf are mostly kitchen work: sound structure, dated finishes.
We work Orange Park, Fleming Island and Middleburg out of the same schedule, so a Clay County job is a normal week for us rather than a special trip. The flooring on any KLC remodel is ours, not a subcontractor’s, which is why cabinet heights and thresholds come out right.

Common questions
Remodeling FAQ for Orange Park
Do you work in Old Orange Park and the older riverside homes?
Yes. Those are usually bathroom jobs, and they usually start with opening the wall to see what is behind the tile. Older houses here rarely have a waterproof membrane back there.
Can you convert a garden tub to a walk-in shower?
It is the bathroom job we do most in Clay County. The tub footprint is already plumbed and sized, so you generally get a much bigger shower without moving a wall.
Do you also serve Fleming Island and Middleburg?
Yes - all three are on the same schedule for us, and each has its own page. Clay County is one of our two busiest areas.
How long does a kitchen take?
Two to four weeks of work, plus one to two weeks while the countertops are fabricated after the cabinets are set. That wait is unavoidable: counters are templated to the installed cabinets, not to a drawing.
Where do I see materials?
Our showroom at 1365 South Water Street in Starke. Worth the drive once - choosing tile and flooring from photographs is how people end up disappointed.
