Why Middleburg homeowners choose KLC
Middleburg has two kinds of house and they want different things. The older places on acreage out toward Black Creek and Clay Hill are usually a bathroom job - a tired hall bath, tile set on greenboard with nothing waterproof behind it, sometimes a subfloor that has been quietly soaking at the toilet flange for years. The newer subdivisions around Lake Asbury are usually a kitchen job: sound bones, dated surfaces.
We do both, and we would rather tell you which one your house actually needs than sell you the bigger number. Bathrooms are where we spend most of our Middleburg time, and the waterproofing behind the tile is the part we will not cut a corner on - in this humidity it is the difference between a shower that lasts and a repair that costs more than the original job.

Common questions
Remodeling FAQ for Middleburg
Do you work in Lake Asbury as well as Middleburg?
Yes - Lake Asbury, Black Creek, Clay Hill and the surrounding western Clay County area. Middleburg is one of our regular service areas, not an occasional trip.
My shower tile is coming loose. Does the whole bathroom need doing?
Not always, but it is worth opening up before you decide. Loose tile usually means water has been getting past the grout, and in houses built through the eighties and nineties that often means there was never a waterproof membrane behind it. We will show you what is back there before we price anything.
How long will my bathroom be out of use?
Two to six weeks depending on scope. If it is your only bathroom, plan to be elsewhere from demo until the shower pan is in - that is the stretch with no shower at all.
Do you pull the permits?
Yes. Moving plumbing or electrical, altering a wall, or replacing a tub or shower generally needs one in Clay County. We pull it and meet the inspector; you do not deal with the building department.
Can you do the kitchen floor and the cabinets?
Yes, and we install the floor before the cabinets so the heights come out right - dishwasher clearance, cabinet door swing, thresholds landing flush. It is the sort of thing that only shows up at the end if someone gets it wrong.
Where is your showroom?
1365 South Water Street in Starke, a straightforward drive from Middleburg. Bring a photo of the room and we will talk through what it would take.
